Originally from Sydney Australia and now based in Ontario Canada, Michelle Osis is an award winning composer for film and television. Her work has been screened at festivals like TIFF, HotDocs, Austin Film Festival, Cannes, Fantasia Film Festival, and other festivals worldwide.

Michelle is most noted for her work in documentaries and the horror/thriller genre. She has worked on a number of award-winning films, with some of her credits including 'Juggernaut' (dir. Daniel DiMarco), 'Harpoon' (dir. Rob Grant) 'Knuckleball' (dir. Mike Peterson) 'Abandoned' (starring Emma Roberts and Michael Shannon) 'Dark Match' (dir. Lowell Dean) 'Bloodthirsty' (dir. Amelia Moses) which won Best Score at the 2022 Bloodguts UK Horror Awards, & 'Fixation', which premiered at TIFF 2022 and was nominated for a Canadian Screen Music Award in 2023 for best music in a narrative film. She also scored the documentary 'Unloved: Huronia’s Forgotten Children' for which Michelle received her fourth Canadian Screen Award nomination.

More recently, Michelle co-scored the Sam Raimi productions horror/thriller feature 'Don't Move' (starring Kelsey Asbille & Finn Wittrock) with Mark Korven, and she is currently co-scoring the second season of the MGM series 'Billy The Kid'.

Michelle is also a synthesist and a classical pianist, and is alumni of the 2014 Canadian Film Centres, Slaight Music Residency program chaired by Mychael Danna. She also participated in the 2016 NYU ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop, headlined by luminary composers Mark Snow, Michael Levine and Sean Callery. Michelle holds a Graduate Certificate in Screen Music at the Australian Film Television Radio School and Bachelor of Music in Composition and Music Production at the Australian Institute of Music.
